Cervinia is one of the best-loved destinations in the Aosta Valley for alpine skiing enthusiasts. Its wide pistes, high altitude and constant views of the Matterhorn make every day on the snow a unique experience.
The Breuil-Cervinia Valtournenche Zermatt ski area offers 154 kilometres of pistes on the Italian side, with the option of reaching Zermatt too thanks to the international link. It’s one of the largest ski areas in the Alps, suited to skiers of every level.
Among the most famous pistes is the Ventina, a spectacular descent of around 11 kilometres that starts at Plateau Rosà and reaches all the way to Breuil-Cervinia. For those who prefer quieter pistes, the Plan Maison area offers wide, scenic routes, perfect for a fully relaxed day on skis.
More experienced skiers can instead explore the Cretaz and Cielo Alto areas, where the pistes become more technical and less crowded.
